What we know

The claim comes from a public review, not from an official walkthrough: the true ending is gated by a command, and the game does not list that command among the available commands. That makes the ending a knowledge check rather than a simple final-room interaction.

We also know the game tracks key items such as the prison key and silver dagger, and that public reviews describe a prison lever as a progression gate. Those are related systems, but we have not verified that they are the exact prerequisites for the true ending.

What to check before you assume it is bugged

  1. Read the command interface. If the game shows a list of commands, check whether there is a help or history view that reveals more than the default list.
  2. Confirm the prison route. The lever, prison key and silver dagger are community-reported progression points; make sure you are not missing one.
  3. Keep key items out of the backpack. A lost key item can look like a missing ending trigger.
