Cooking pot: the camp kitchen
The object that turns ingredients into buffs — and the reason “food is progress” is not a slogan.
The cooking pot is the camp object that turns raw ingredients into meals and buffs. The official screenshot shows the prompt “COOKING POT — [E] Interact.” It is the centre of the food-as-progress loop; set it up before a long expedition, not after you are already hungry.
What the cooking pot does
The Steam page calls food “progress.” Recipes unlock over time and have different effects on your stats. Public reviews describe meals that raise maximum HP and SP. The pot is where those meals are made, which makes it a progression station rather than a cosmetic camp object.
Where to find it
The official screenshots show a cooking pot at camp, next to the fire and storage. We have not verified a second pot location or a portable pot. Treat the camp pot as your kitchen and plan routes around returning to it.
The interaction prompt and camp placement are visible in official screenshots. The 10–20 minute hunger/water cadence and max HP/SP buffs come from public reviews; exact recipe effects are not verified here.
How to use it
- Bring ingredients home. Raw ingredients compete for slots; finished meals are the concentrated version.
- Interact with
E. The prompt is visible in the official screenshot. - Cook before you leave. Eat a meal, fill water, then pick a route.
- Cook in batches. One cook can support a three-player group.
What to cook (and what we will not invent)
We do not publish a recipe database yet because we have not verified a complete, current list. The safe approach is to read the effect text in-game, cook what matches your next route, and avoid committing a long trip to an unverified meal. If you want to help build a verified recipe list, send a screenshot with the patch number through the correction page.
Cooking-pot mistakes
- Cooking only when hungry. The buff is the point; eat before the fight.
- Hoarding raw ingredients. An ingredient in your pack is a meal you have not made.
- No camp kitchen. If the pot is not set up, every expedition starts under-buffed.
- Forgetting water. Treat hunger and water as two clocks.
