Sticks: the first-tier crafting material

The material you should pick up on the way, not make a dedicated trip for.

Short answer

Sticks are an early crafting material visible in the official inventory screenshots. They are used in basic recipes such as the crude sword and torch. The exact spawn logic is not documented, so treat this page as a practical early-game guide, not a spawn table.

What sticks are for

The official screenshots show sticks in the crafting inventory next to leather, wood planks, iron rods and rocks. They are part of the first-tier economy: the materials you gather before clay and metal become the bottleneck. If you are constantly short of sticks, you are probably crafting too many disposable tools or carrying too many raw materials at once.

How to gather them

Sticks come from the dungeon environment. We have not verified a complete node list or respawn behavior; the practical advice is to pick them up on routes you already run rather than making a dedicated stick trip. Early on, every slot competes with food, torches and the tool you actually need.

Community-reported

The inventory presence of sticks is verified by official screenshots. Spawn locations and respawn behavior are not verified; we do not publish a fake farming route.

What to craft first

  1. A basic weapon. You need to be able to disengage from a bad room.
  2. A torch. Light is a tool, not a luxury.
  3. Only then, comfort crafts. Do not burn your first sticks on cosmetic or low-value items.

Inventory discipline

Sticks are light but they are not free: each stack occupies a slot that could hold clay, a key item or a meal. If you are preparing for a clay run, leave the spare sticks at camp. If you are preparing for a long route with no camp stop, bring enough to replace a broken tool, not enough to rebuild the camp.

What we do not know yet
